Summary

Today CJ Kilmer returns to TSPC to talk about how and why the Soviet Union collapse along with the lessons the US and its Western Partners failed to learn from it. Born & raised a Florida Man, CJ Killmer holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Flagler College and a master’s degree in history from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He taught college history from 2006 to 2022. dissolution of the country either. But when I look at all of the empire collapses that I'm familiar with. The one that seems to

bear the most resemblance to our current situation to me anyway is the Soviet Union.

that was there, but I think the reason that it looks so similar is because we're

in the same place from a technological and economic standpoint, modern economic systems, etc.
