0:04.4	My name's Shabbs and I'm calling from Manchester in the UK.
0:08.5	I've been listening from your very first episode so I'm really excited to finally have recorded this.
0:14.6	I do have another story about my cousin, which is a lot longer and darker.
0:19.4	So I may call that in next time if you
0:21.7	guys want to hear it. So I'm a psychiatric nurse and I have been for the past two years now.
0:29.7	This story was when I was a student nurse and still practising. So I worked a lot in sort of forensic settings
0:38.7	where there are a lot of people with personality disorders and psychosis mainly.
0:46.6	But this particular event happened when I was a student at an acute ward
0:51.8	which is kind of a ward where lots of people first coming,
0:58.2	so if they're warding by the police because of the mental state,
1:01.7	or if they are detained under the Mental Health Act in the UK,
1:06.3	because they're not safe to be on their own.
1:10.9	I don't know if it's similar in the US, I suppose it is.
1:15.3	So we had this lady come in who was transferred from another hospital
1:18.9	as she was making no improvements there.
1:23.3	She was a lovely lady, sort of middle age, maybe a little bit younger.
1:29.3	And I took a liking to her straightaway.
1:31.3	Whilst I was a student, I had a lot of time to spend with patients one to one, which was lovely.
1:37.3	She was quite afraid of a lot of things really, but she seemed to believe that there was this shadow kind of figure.
1:46.7	I don't think it was a shadow man, just a man who's in the shadows, if that makes sense,
1:51.6	who would follow her and cause her distress.
