My name's Carl Truman.

I'm Professor at Grove City College in Western Pennsylvania,

and I'm here with my two usual co-hosts,

Amy Bird, the housewife Theologian,

and Todd Pruitt, pastor of a PCA church in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

And we're going to interview somebody today who you may not have heard of,

but I'm pretty sure that the surname will be very, very familiar to many of our listeners.

Any of you who are into either the prosperity doctrine or Neru jackets will almost

certainly have heard of the name Benny Hin.

Benny Hin is one of the preeminent advocates of what's called the prosperity gospel. He's an extremely famous

evangelist for that gospel across the globe. And today we're going to be interviewing his nephew,

Kosti Hinn, who grew up very much in the prosperity gospel environment, very much in the sort of

shadow of his uncle, and who yet has come to realize that the prosperity gospel at best sells

the true gospel very short. At worst, and quite often, is simply an anti-gospel and has come to

evangelical convictions relative to the nature of the Bible's message and what human beings are

to do in relation to that. So welcome to the show, Kosti. It's a real privilege and something of a surprising delight to have you with us.
