1:30.7	But during this holiday season, I thought it'd be fun to explore those events where someone or something traveled themselves, perhaps across
1:38.1	a light years of time, to also partake in our various merry festivities. So today, we explore the close encounters of the Christmas kind.
1:53.1	This is somewhere in the skies of Ryan's board. Thank you. In past episodes of Somewhere in the Skies, we explored two major cases that happened during the month of December, more precisely,
2:36.4	right around the holidays in the latter half of the month. These were the 1980 Rendell-Sham
2:42.8	Forest UFO incident in England and the 1985 abduction of Whitley Streber in upstate New York.
2:54.3	But there are countless lesser-known incidents that could perhaps show that we, as a planet, may never truly be alone during the holiday season.
3:03.2	Our first story comes from investigative journalist and UFO researcher Cheryl Costa.
3:10.7	She presented the following account on the Central New York news site, the Syracuse New Times.
3:16.9	It's from a Vietnam veteran who had a UFO encounter when he was 19 years old.
