the world is catching on fire and is becoming increasingly chaotic, expensive to manage and

traumatising and destabilized because of climate chaos.

Dangerous idea number two, you don't need to feel depressed or pessimistic about that,

and the solution might be a lot simpler than we've been led to believe.

Imagine having a conversation like the one I just had with one of the experts on climate chaos and coming out of that conversation feeling awakened, enlivened, reinvigorated, optimistic,

passionate, hopeful, instead of depressed, like you've got a big grey cloud of bushfires and drought and floods

and hurricanes hanging over your head. This is a terribly exciting conversation with a

terribly exciting individual. Saul Griffith, PhD, an Australian engineer and inventor. He has spent

a lot of time in the States. He's worked with NASA on research

projects. He's worked at the Advanced Research Projects Agency. He's worked at the National Science

Foundation in America. He's worked at U.S. Special Operations Command. He was awarded the MacArthur

Genius Grant in 2007. And most recently, he's been in the United States, actually helping Congress

and the Biden administration write the Inflation Reduction Act and some of the electricity and energy

and regulatory and climate provisions therein. I'm not going to give you a lot of a preview about this. Suffice it to say that

stick with this conversation because it gets quite inspiring, I think. This is a vision of the

future that is worth seizing. And if we can just take souls vision and articulate that to our elected representatives

and our business leaders uh you know we could be getting somewhere it's already having an
