Here's a quick and easy way to neutralize negative thoughts

using a simple exercise called the cleansing breath.

When you become upset, your ragged irregular breath

not only reflects your upset, but it upsets you more,

because your breath directly impacts your mind.

By consciously directing your breath, you can direct your mind to calm down and release what's disturbing it.

As soon as you notice you're feeling upset, angry or stressed,

breathing deeply through your nose,

down into the pit of your stomach.

As you blow that breath out slowly through your mouth, drop your shoulders and let your arms and hands go limp by your side.

Now take another deep breath, as deeply as you can, and this time try and slow your breath

down a little.

And then release.

Continue for three more deep, slow breaths.

Breathing as deeply and steadily as you can. You're going to. Now shake your arms and hands, your shoulders and move on.
