Let's begin with the injury report, shall we?

The 49ers are banged up.

That's not news to anybody.

Obviously, Jimmy Garoplo out for the year of the torn ACL, CJ Bethards the next man up at quarterback

and he will be most likely the starting quarterback the rest of the year unless he gets hurt.

Nick Mullins has been called up from the practice squad.

He will be the backup for at least this week and then we'll see

if the 49ers end up bringing in one of the guys they have worked out to be CJ's backup or if they decide,

you know, we didn't really like what we saw with these guys and we're going to stick with

Nick Mullins as the backup quarterback and then maybe they add somebody to the practice

...
