Summary

Tom recounts his time running a country store near a Civil War battlefield in the early 2000s. While living in the trailer behind the store, Tom began to experience a series of strange and eerie events—crutches falling on their own, a radio mysteriously turning on, and waking up at 3:33 AM every night. But it was the night he woke up unable to breathe and saw a shadow move across his room that truly terrified him. 0:04.2	Good evening. My name is Tom. I'm got a couple of stories. Actually, I'll tell the oldest one.
0:10.7	Maybe I'll call back another time and tell the other one. But back in early 2000, maybe 2002 or
0:17.1	three, I bought into a little country store that had a trailer and you rented the two
0:23.7	together, the building and the trailer. I lived right behind the store. It was also very close to
0:29.1	an old Civil War battle and I'll get back to that. But I had been living there about a year
0:34.8	running this store. And I went away for Christmas weekend.
0:40.3	And while I was gone, I had a tweak and knee injury.
0:44.9	I had got some, borrowed some, what do you call them?
0:50.9	I'm having a brain fart right now.
0:54.2	Crutches.
0:55.2	Bared a set of crutches and brought them home.
0:57.5	Well, my knee was in good shape by the time I got back, but I left for work Monday morning
1:02.9	after that weekend.
1:04.8	I had set the crutches against a chair in my living room.
1:09.6	When I came home that night, put the key in the door and opened it, and I heard a thump.
1:14.3	When I walked in, the crutches had just fallen onto the floor.
1:18.3	I didn't think a whole lot of it, but I went back to work the next day, came home, but same thing.
1:24.5	Put my key in the door, and when I walked in, those crutches fell on the floor again.
1:28.1	And at that time I had made sure that when I set them against the chair, they were, you know, real stable and everything.
1:33.9	It fell right over.
1:35.5	So I thought that was kind of weird, but then maybe a few days later, I was having breakfast, or making breakfast in the kitchen.
