lacey welcome hi rebecca how are you oh i'm good i'm so happy to have you on the show i've been

following you on twitter for quite some time oh well hey same i, I'm really happy to be here. This is actually,

I mean, it's like the highlight of my month. So thank you so much for having me on.

I mentioned that you're a PhD candidate. Why don't you tell us a little bit about that?

Yeah. So I am a PhD candidate at my university. I also teach for my university. I'm currently writing my dissertation,

which is on medieval history, but my initial interest in history is the tutor period. My dissertation

cuts off actually right around like the year 1450, which is kind of a bummer because I, you know,

obviously would like to be talking about the reign of Henry

the 8th, but with different just time parameters and everything, it needed an end date. So the

dissertation itself stops at 1450, but I've been taking a lot of classes, writing some papers

here and there on tutor history, and. And I'm really excited to be

talking with you today about my first article that I wrote with History Extra, which is on
