the word tolerance has become a buzzword in our times.

For some it's a virtue.

For others tolerance is a weakness. So how do we live as

grace-filled people who know how to express compassion without compromising our

biblical convictions? Today on Insight for Living, Chuck's when our biblical On today's program, we'll get acquainted with a first century church that struggled with these issues.

Let's think of the truth.

Let's think of the pros and cons of compromise.

Now if you were raised like I was, there are no pros.

All compromise is wrong.

It's a sign of weakness, not sticking by your guns,

giving into things that you have no business giving into, and on and on and on it went.

Because life back then it seemed, at least to my parents and to theirs life was very black and white.

If it's wrong it's wrong, if it's right, it's right.

There's no gray area, there's no middle ground. Now I've lived long enough to know that there's a lot of gray.

I'm married. That's one thing that proves I know how to compromise and my wife knows how to compromise and I've raised four children that proves that I know something about compromise and I'm not alone. You're the same.
