Would you turn please to Matthew this morning, Matthew the 16th chapter, Matthew 16.

We've been on the subject for some weeks now.

The subject, the title of the series is called the church.

The church. And we're saying the church is not just a sunday thing church is not just a sunday thing millions think it is, but it's much, much, much, much more.

Matthew 16 and verse 13.

When Jesus came to the coast of Cessaria Philippi, he asked his disciples saying,

whom do men say that I the son of man am?

Who are people saying I am?

And they said, well, some people say, you John the Baptist.

Some people say you're Elijah.

Some people say you're Jeremiah or some people say you're one of the prophets.

And he did not get into any debate about any of those things but he said what whom say you that i am don't let people uh play intellectual with you and argue and go into great unnecessary detail about nothing.

Just stop them and go, what do you believe?

And if they want to go off on tangents,

they believe part of this or part of the,

you just stop and go,

what do you do?

What do you do?

What you believe and what you do is what you are.

Nothing more important about you than what you believe and what you do. Now, many people

don't see that. They don't see how important what you believe is. Well, you know, I don't

think it's all that important. You know, I don't get involved in those things. I don't go to church
