0:14.1	A few years ago, the Barna Research Group conducted a poll entitled, What Would People Like to Hear About in Church
0:24.6	Sermons? The poll showed the broad interest Christians have in topics regarding governance and related
0:35.3	social issues. When asked about interest in these topics, a clear
0:42.5	majority of Christians expressed a desire to learn more. Here are the subjects they asked
0:49.5	about and the percentage of Christians for each one who said, yes, I would like to hear sermons on this.
0:57.2	Abortion, meaning the beginning of life, they included all these things in the question,
1:02.1	beginning of life, right to life, contraception, adoption, unwed mothers, 91%.
1:10.0	I wanted to hear more. Religious persecution, liberty, meaning personal duty versus
1:17.9	government duty, church response, global conditions, all of these things, part of that question.
1:25.3	86%. I wanted to hear more sermons about it. Poverty. Personal duty
1:33.1	versus government's role, church response, homelessness, hunger, dependency, 85% wanted to hear
1:43.6	sermons on this.
1:46.2	Cultural restoration, appropriate morals, law and order,
1:51.8	defensible values and norms, self-government,
1:58.3	83% wanted to hear more in church about cultural restoration.
2:06.6	Sexual identity.
2:08.6	Same-sex marriage.
2:10.6	Transgenderism. Marriage.
2:12.6	LGBT. I think that's all there was at the time.
2:16.6	82%. LGBT, I think that's all there was at the time.
