And I wish I could just illustrate it by showing you it oh here

we go this work and in second Samuel 9 we find our text you know the table

speaks of the family.

I think like nothing else the table speaks about what a family should be.

Tragically it's kind of being like replaced for the television as like the place the

family gathers around but really the heart of the home is

is the dinner table it's that breakfast table it's where you gather it's where you

you eat and spend time together they say Americans are spending less and less time at the dinner

table. I think it used to be 90 minutes would be the meal. Now it's like 12 to

17 minutes on average. Everyone just kind of sits down and

a yeah and then and then it's you know the TV's on in many households this isn't

like an Amish trip.

I'm not trying to get you to like, you know,

get your aluminum foil hat on and, you know,

throw your television away.

But I think we're losing something

in the elimination and the minimization of the precious moments just gathered around the table looking into each other's eyes lighting some candles.
