You might say you know some unbelievers who battle, but you know what unbelievers battle with?

Not sin. The consequences of sin.

Unbelievers love sin with no apology. They hate the consequences of sin. Hangovers, bad drug,

downers, being caught and sent to jail for a few weeks or something

for shoplifting, divorce, and it's horrible pain, being too overweight.

I mean, yeah, yeah, unbelievers have conflicts within, but they love sin and just hate pain.

Whereas, when you're born again and a new nature is given you so that you have a spiritual taste for God

and his glory and his way, what pains you first is not the consequences of sin,

but the dishonor that sin brings upon your God and the undoing of your own humanity in the image of God.
