Today we're going to jump into a little bit of Chris Jones talk.

I know we talked about it on yesterday's show, but with

Matt here I do want to jump into this a little bit further. Chris Jones is in an interesting

position because right now, Kansas City can't afford to even give them the franchise

tag now obviously that's going to change in the next couple of weeks they will

make some moves they will free up some cap space and actually maybe they can give

them that the tag right now but is that kind of the way you think it's going right now?

Yeah, I mean that certainly seems like the direction. I mean we haven't heard or seen any movement on a contract front and I continue to get the sense you know from

from a lot of people from agents a little bit of talking to Brad Beach the Super Bowl

that there's just it's going to be a little bit of a

frozen market maybe for free agency this year as far as long-term deals because of

the CBA and that everybody's kind of waiting to see how that sorts out and the idea that maybe

there's going to be a lot more money available next off season and that's when

maybe you want to be a free agent so there might be some impetus on both sides as part that, you know, hey, maybe kicking the can down the curb for one more season might be in the best interest for Chris Jones. I don't know that it's necessarily in the best

interest of the chiefs other than they're able to get one more year out of

him without having to make a huge commitment and maybe kind of see where they are

after 2020, but I still have a hard time believing
