Once upon a time, there was a family of travelers that didn't heed the advice of locals.

The vacation began as many vacations do, with absolutely nothing going according to plan.

Sarah and Tom had planned the trip months ago, finding a week where their schedules aligned

and they could slip away together, leaving the kids behind even if just for a few days
