First things, Easter is here for many of you and we wish you and your family a

happy Easter. It is the sign of spring but it's also the sign of renewal, rebirth,

the earth resurrected, rose buds in my garden, the green of the green grass

outside your door. Here's another sign of hope. Those brave and brilliant young

people at the University of Chicago the other day refusing to bend the need to

the corrupt media establishment, defying them all, even CNN pudded and

political mouthpiece David Axelrod at that horribly ill-named conference

disinformation and the erosion of democracy. Really disinformation like

suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story before the election. Our guest today

is Evita Pilar Duffy, managing editor of the Chicago thinker, where many of

those brave young minds call home. Seeing what they're doing gives me a sense of

hope but it also reminds me of my age. Listen up, some of you call me old school?

Okay, let me tell you how old school I am. I was David Axelrod's copyboy at the

paper. You see him these days on CNN pontificating and pontificating at his new

perch at the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics and more CNN

pontificating and politics and it goes around with him like a revolving door in

a shabby hotel. I'm sure that it's a fine institute and David's always treated me

at least kindly to my face, a gentleman, but I don't know people who've learned

politics at an institute. I learned mine at Ward Knights of the 7th and 10th and

5th Ward's and in the 36th Ward in the corridors of the Bismarck hotel

chasing politicians at taverns and union halls. Ward organizations would duke it
