You know, there is a difference between sports and politics, sports and actually running

a city and the politics of trying to get to run a city.

And we'll ask today's guest on the Chicago Way, Chicago Bears' great Gary Fensik.

Fensik should know, he understands finance, and he understands sports and sports is still

about merit, so the tackle is the tackle, the fumble is the fumble.

The politicians recreate reality and they figure you don't know about budgets and don't

understand finance, so they'll fill you with their own gas and create a reality in which

they never screw up.

And they're so full of gas that when they speak, the donkeys break wind and you end up paying

for it.

So Mayor Laurie Lightfoot recreates herself, doesn't she?

Now in her reelection campaign commercials, she's not some hysterical mayor overwhelmed,

unable to handle crime.

She's not the mayor of a city where 400,000 residents called 911 last year and the cops

didn't show up.

In her fantasy world, Lightfoot delivers.

She's like the pizza delivery man.

And if you've seen those commercials where she's the delivery man, hey, did you order

thousands of new jobs and a pepperoni?

Tell them you see delivers.

5,000 jobs in pepperoni, excuse me in your dreams and Laurie, what about that pepperoni?
