She's been Roxy Hart. She's currently Cherry Valance. And every day, she's in the Pittman. She's here with me on today's podcast. Oxford Native went to Oxford High School and is now, as I said, starring on Broadway,

the Tony Award winning musical, The Outsider. She plays Jerry Valance, almost 600 shows deep.

She is a former winner of The Search for Roxy. That's how she got to play Roxy Hart from Chicago,

in Chicago on Broadway as well.

And really appreciate the time with her for this episode. We had a good time. We talked

about a lot of her background. Hey, some Oxford staples, as well as some different parts of

the Broadway, the theater industry as well. And look, she's coming to Oxford here soon.

One of the reasons why I wanted to speak with Emma, she's going to be in conversation with

Jenny Anderson.

Jenny Anderson, a Mississippi native and former photo editor of the Daily Mississippi, and I

worked with her back in the day when we were in college, her book, The In Between.

It is a privileged glance behind the curtain of the

world's most prestigious theaters and stars who raced her stages. Jenny has been all over Broadway

for well more than a decade, taking some of the best pictures and photography there. They

will be at Square Books, August 26th, 530 to 630.

They're all Square Books, technically, the place for that.
