Hey, good morning. It's Patricia Murphy. It's Tuesday. This is Seattle now. One of Seattle's

most persistent stereotypes is that it's hard to make friends here. Seattle in particular is a city where everybody loves to go run away into the woods every weekend.

And so unless you kind of take the initiative to find your group or find the community,

it's not really going to land in your lap.

Coming up, we'll learn about a new civic organization that's trying to bring newcomers

together and thaw the Seattle freeze.

But first, let's get you caught up.

Tonight, President Donald Trump will address a joint session of Congress.

Washington Senator Patty Murray won't be there.

Murray said in a statement she'll skip the

speech, adding that the Trump administration is spitting in the face of the law. Instead, Murray says

she plans to meet with constituents harmed by the Trump administration's actions. The speech is set for

6 p.m. Pacific time. Four bus stops near the intersection of 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street in Little

Saigon reopened Monday after an extended closure.

King County Metro shut the bus stops down in early December for safety reasons.
