My name is Graham Isidore.

I have a progressive eye disease called Caritoconis.

And maying I'm losing my vision has been hard, but explaining it to other people has been harder.

Lately, I've been trying to talk about it.

Short-sighted is an attempt to explain what vision loss feels like by exploring how it sounds.

By sharing my story, we get into all the things

So one time a co-worker of mine wanted to set me up with this cute guy, and so we exchanged numbers, we were messaging, like, texting for like three days straight.

Everything came out, his astrology sign, his favorite color, everything. We were non-stop texting and we had never met.

On the fourth day, I thought, like, how cute would it be if I actually went and brought him an ice cream, right, at his work? He's going to be like, oh my God, thank you so much for bringing me this ice cream.

And, like, maybe he would have shared the ice cream with me.

Like very Lady on the Tramp, but with ice cream.

So I went and I got him an ice cream and I put it in a little bag, like this paper bag, so it wouldn't melt.

He worked at a tea shop.

And as I'm walking there, I'm having all of these thoughts, you know, like this is going to be the cutest moment of life. Like, if anybody

brought me an ice cream at work, I would be like, I would go on one knee and like propose. When I

get to the tea shop, it's just him and this one other client.

And she's waiting for her tea.

I placed the paper bag with the ice cream inside on the counter.

And I'm like, did somebody order an ice cream?
