0:50.9

to Q blog because that was such a new thing streaming Netflix had its own blog. And who is our special guest? I don't know. I think it's John from Nintendo life.

1:04.9

Hey, welcome, John Cartwright to Nintendo Nintendo voice chat. It's great to have you. That's great to be on here. Yes, we have a lot to cover E3 2021 is officially underway.

1:16.9

Well, sort of summer game fest just happened. Some announcements happened. They were not necessarily Nintendo switch related, but we will cover a couple of them.

1:26.9

We'll also be talking about the switch pro reveal that did not happen. And why that might have been. And finally, we've got a lot of other news as well. So we will be getting all that and talking about game builder grudge, which is available.

1:42.9

I got a yeah from the audience right there. So all right, let's get to it. Summer game fest, not a lot of switch news, but while it's only available on PC, metal slug tactics. Am I right? That game.

1:58.9

We're incredible. Yeah, I was like, is this a metal slug game? It looks like it, but it's a tactics game too. And then I looked at the name of it. And I was like, wow, it's exactly what I thought it was going to be named. So that's very, very convenient and easy to figure out.

2:14.9

Yeah, the entire presentation worth it for that. I don't care if it was two hours of fineness, but metal slug makes it a worth it.

2:25.9

Yeah, there was this this game called Elden something, something that was also there by who cares metal slug tactics don't care. But it's by dot Emo who are also I believe working on a teenage mutant in

2:39.9

the turtles beat him up. I believe they also did a stretch of rage for right. So they have a history with the platform. And so I fully expect metal slug tactics to be coming to the Nintendo switch and frankly, it's going to be my game of the year when it does.

2:54.9

Like the perfect perfect game like the perfect fit for the Nintendo switch.

2:59.9

It does. And T loaps on the soundtrack to from Sonic Mania. I think he's also doing TNT as well. So he's getting around.

3:07.9

That's amazing. Awesome. Also shown over during summer game fest was another story trailer for Monster Hunter stories, which I got to say everybody that game is super flying under the radar. And I cannot what to play it. I've been playing so much Monster Hunter rise as anybody who's been listening to this podcast will tell you. And I got to say Monster Hunter stories looks glorious and as an RPG fan. I cannot wait to play it.

3:36.9

Do we know what they're doing with the battle system in this one? Because on 3DS I remember it was this sort of rock paper scissors kind of a fair. Is it the same here?

3:44.9

Good question. I am not sure it's like a turn based battle system for sure. I think it might be a slight evolution of the first game, which also flew under the radar. I think the main thing that grabs me is.

3:57.9

Now that I'm familiar with Monster Hunter somewhat I'm recognizing a lot of the monsters now. And I'm just really digging that kind of cel-shaded look. It has a real style to it.

4:07.9

Yeah, I go ahead. No, Rob. We want to hear what you have to say.

4:13.9

Thank you. I was just going to say, I mean, people who have heard me on this show before know that I just about so hard off Monster Hunter. I am so sorry, but.
