We are only six games into his tenure. They have produced six losses. And some Jets fans already want to put Aaron Glenn on the hot seat. So on today, we are going to put Aaron Glenn's on trial. We're going to determine whether or not he should be on the hot seat. I will give a verdict at the end of the show, at the end of the show, but first I will present the case for putting Glenn on the hot seat and the case against putting Glenn on the hot seat. So we will begin, and I will talk about the areas

where Aaron Glenn has failed. And there are many, and they are profound. I don't think anybody

thought that we'd be sitting here on October 14th and the Jets would

be 0 and 6. And not just that they're 0 and 6, the way they've gotten to 0 and 6 because

this was very much a jet season where the record mattered, but it was also how they got

there.

And this is a team right now that has the worst record in football.

They've also looked like the worst team in football.

I know there have been some competitive games like week one against the Pittsburgh Steelers,

Sunday's loss in London to the Denver Broncos.

But the phrase I've used frequently on this show over the first six weeks is a lack of cohesion.

This does not look like a football

team where the parts are working well together. We've seen it through the course of the season

on the defensive side of the ball. And Sunday's performance was much better. Sunday was a winning

defensive performance, but it may have been the first winning defensive performance in the Jets have

had all season long. And while we can hope that that's a sign that maybe things are starting to turn around, it's only one game. And we can't say that yet. The Jets have been a sloppy team. They are a team that frequently misses tackles. They are a team that frequently commits penalties. And they are a team that frequently bust coverage. Players don't communicate. These are basic things. These are football 101 things. I was at the game Sunday. One of the things I remarked in my game recap podcast was at the game, you can see the Jets struggle to do basic things, like just substitute guys in and out.
