September 4th, 2025, which means like it's opening, open an day. Is NFL called open today?

The first week of the NFL is officially started tonight, and I cannot be more excited.

Not only just because we like, I can't say love just yet, but we like football, because that means we are less than three weeks away from training camp for the NBA season. A lot of dominoes are still falling, which sounds crazy this morning. We just found out that Cam Thomas is signed in a qualifying offer. We still got a couple restrictive free agents that are just in the ether, just trying to figure out what the hell is going on. We got like Russell Westbrook, Al Hooffrey, D. Anthony Melon, a bunch of decent NBA players still out there, but less than three weeks away. And I want to remind you that last season around this same time, we saw one of the biggest trades of the year that was Car Anthony Towns for Julius Randling some stuff. So it's the offseason, but it's not really the off season.

And I kind of want to talk about on today's episode,

the case four and the case against all NBA contenders

when it comes to raising that Larry O'Brien trophy.

Because as good as the league is, there is no guarantee.

OK, she just came off a championship

and a lot of us believe that

they can't repeat. But, hell, I felt the same way about last year's team at one. And they lost in the second round. I felt the same way about the team that one year before that, and they didn't make it. And the year before that, and they didn't make it. You know, so this is like a recurrent theme that you have so much respect for the team that just came off the Larry OB, but we are in the

parody era. So I believe that one of the teams that I'm going to mention today will end up raising the Lerio-O-Bron trophy, but they won't be without their flaws. I want to remind you, or at least announce to you that these hats, the in-ball we trust hats, and we also haveodies. Enjoy basketball hoodies are dropping on Tuesday, so I don't have an episode between now and in. But I feel like, and maybe I don't want to toot my own horn, but I feel like the team is getting better and better with the drops. You know, I feel like we're getting better and better. Because again, I'm a sports optimist.

Hell, my favorite team, the Chicago Bulls are probably going to win like 32 games a season,

but I'm fake thinking to myself, oh, I'm interested in this team.

And the same can be said about pretty much every one of my favorite teams across the leagues.

So I was so very excited for my Chicago Bears this season, you know, for the most part, we're in one of the two

most difficult divisions in all of football. And then a couple days ago, just just a couple

days ago, I was mad at my own business. I was having a great jolly day.
