Hope you guys are also rejuvenated. We need rejuvenation when it comes to being fans of this team in this

franchise, which, you know, Nick, I never thought I would say it like that in such a like

accepted way of what this has become because this, my whole life, this team was never like

this, like a just bottom barrel team. But things can change in the NFL.

I want to just say that to start.

This is not like the MLB.

We are not fans of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

We don't have no chance in hell.

The Pittsburgh Pirates fans, they don't have a chance in hell to compete.

It doesn't matter what they do with their farm system because in the MLB, the Dodgers and the Mets,

they're spending $200 billion, what a million, whatever dollars it is.

You have no chance in that sport.

In this sport, things can change really, really fast.

Now, almost always the change happens at quarterback, and that's what sparks everything.

There are rare occasions. John Lynch came in with the 49ers, built a really good team around, and then they started winning a lot. But even in that scenario, if you asked Nick or I, when we watch the film of Brock Purdy, he's a really good quarterback. He throws an incredible amount of anticipation. His ball placement is great. He beats blitzes. He knows where they're coming from. He adjusts to things pre-snap and post-snap. So that's not even a good example of the last. But that example is actually a good one if we want to take this conversation in another direction, which also could pertain to the New York Giants. And that's a fact that John Lynch drafted, traded up to draft Tray Lance third Lance third overall and then drafted Brock Party with literally the last pick. He was Mr. Irrelevant

in his draft. And Brock Purdy was able to make that a, I would say perennial playoff contender,

even though they didn't make it this year, but possible even a Super Bowl contender. So it just

goes to show you that this is not an exact science and you can swing and miss massively and still hit if you are able to bring your hit rate up. Now, that's the big question with this podcast. Can Joe Shane and the New York Giants bring that hit rate up? And we'll get into that when we go over the drafts. Yeah, and there's three ways. I see it. It's the one we've discussed. And we're going to talk about a lot of things today before I say that this episode. Well, I'll get into that in a second. It's the one we discussed, which is get the quarterback. It's the second one you discussed, which is bring up your hit rate in these drafts. That's really important around the quarterback, all the positions like the 49ers have done. And the third one is get the right coach to

establish a culture. Now, that third one, I believe, is very dependent on winning football games.
