Heavenly Father, we're so blessed to gather together tonight, the middle of the week,

and to worship you and to open up your word now together. God, what a blessing. We're thankful for this church.

We're thankful for all those who serve here that make these gatherings possible. And God, now as we turn our attention to your

word, we pray that your Holy Spirit would bring great encouragement to our hearts, that you would

teach us, that you would lead and guide us into the truth. God, we desire to be encouraged by our

word tonight. Work to that end, we pray.

And it's in Jesus' name we pray.

Amen.

Well, this evening, I'd like for us to consider what is arguably life's most important question.

Is it reasonable to believe in God? Is it reasonable to believe in God? Is there good

evidence that points toward his existence? I believe there is, and in our time together

tonight, I'd like to lay out for you a bit of a case for a creator. More specifically, five different

lines of evidence for the existence of God. Five reasons I'm convinced God exists and five reasons

I believe anyone who's open-minded enough to consider the evidence can come to that same conclusion.

My hope is that this will encourage those of you who already believe.

I know that most of you are already convinced God exists,

but I'm hoping that our time together tonight will also help equip you

to be a little bit better prepared to dialogue

with your skeptical friends, your non-believing coworkers, that atheistic family member, and

so on.

The first evidence I'd like to discuss for a few minutes is something that David mentioned

3,000 years ago here in Psalm chapter 19.
