I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeantant bill cannon a 27 year veteran of the

NYPD you know folks we all been watching the stephan stern's case case is actually when you talk about it

there's more than one case and the amount of evidence in this case, in both cases, of course, the first case we're referring to,

and I'll refer to it by an acronym, C-S-A-M, and that has to do with those bad images on his phone, that when the police found them early

on in this case, they felt very confident that they could now take their time and cross

their teas and dot their eyes and go after the murder case.

Because they knew from early, early on in this case that Stefan Stearns was the killer of Madeline Soto.

Now, when they found these CSAM images on his phone,

that opened up another Pandora's box of evidence.

Because several warrants later and cooperation from Stefan Stearns's father, who you see in this

thumbnail here on the screen, Chris Stearns and his mother, Deborah, turning over a hard drive

and some USBs that had 35,000 images,

none of them which were Madeline.

So that in itself opens up another whole investigation

to attempt to identify the people in those images.

And also, now, here comes the electronic case, the computer science,

of finding out if Stefan Stearns was in fact trading or selling these images on the dark web.

And all of these things, we don't know the answers to.

Does law enforcement know the answers to? I believe they do.

How wide the scope of this investigation has gone in regards to those images, we don't know right now.

Is the FBI involved?
