Boschammer Stadium, obviously in the Hall of Honor here with Gavin Gallowher, the captain returning

for yet another season.

And Gavin will kind of talking off air there, you're like a unicorn, man.

North Carolina, it would be your fourth year, your senior year.

Just sort of work us, let's work backwards through the process of sitting here today and not in

some minor league town somewhere in middle America. Yeah, well, you know, a bunch of new,

rules and college athletics came out. And so luckily I just had

an amazing opportunity to come back to school. And so going into the draft, just really, you know,

sat down, thought about, you know, how much I value Carolina and what it means to me and what another

year here of development would mean to me and um you know also

just all the amazing memories here and you know i just know how much fun it is to play here at unc

and to play for an amazing coaching staff and uh to compete at the highest level in college so uh all those

things went into it and um you know came down to it at the end of the

day, it kind of, you know, made my decision pretty easy. When you look at it, a ton of memories,

I mean, you've got some memories in this room as we sit here. Unicorn, a senior, a four-year player, all those things just don't happen these days. How important

is that for you to sort of be that pillar of this program? Yeah, I mean, I think the experience

is definitely going to be huge. It's something that, you know, being named the captain last year as a junior was

really meant a lot to me. So to have a year of that now, a year of that experience, as well as

three years of playing, you know, I'm really excited to carry that over into another year and

try to use that to, you know, help guys out, you know,

make myself the best player I can be, make other guys the best that they can be, and just,
