The Washington Capitals punching their ticket to the postseason yesterday.

They'll now face off against New York Rangers in the opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Spencer Carberry is the successful coach that navigated some tricky waters down the stretch

and got his team into the postseason.

How does it feel?

Appreciate it, Jeff.

It felt really good. I don't think going through that and all the ups and downs we had even in that last week I don't think I really wrap my head around that moment coming of us

qualifying for it but last night sort of hit us on the travel back home on the train.

And pretty great feeling.

We've put a lot into this thing and to see the guys get rewarded and be able to play in the playoffs.

It's a huge accomplishment.

There's so much to talk about your team.
