Hello, super great kids and how are you?

I hope you're having a good summer with lots of splashing around in water and maybe even taking time to tell a story or two.

I've enjoyed watching the Olympic Games in France.

It's exciting seeing gym nests flying through the air and people racing on bikes and in canoes.

This week's story is all about a canoe race.

It's a thought-provoking legend from the Marshall Islands,

a chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean, which lie between Hawaii and the Philippines.

The storyteller is Marion Leepa

from Cambridge in the UK,

and she's told stories since she was six years old and now she tells them at festivals and museums and libraries.

Marion also helps to organize a storytelling festival in East Anglia in the UK every year. Hats off to her, that's a busy job.

Just before we hear from Marion, I've got a question for you. If you were taking part in the Olympics

just supposing what sport would you choose? Would you be a gymnast flying high on bars or would you race on a BMX bike or in a canoe or maybe in a swimming pool?

Have a little think about that while we have a quick word with the

grown-ups. Ready? Off you go. Hello super great kids I'm back. Did you decide which sport you might like to try if

you were taking part in the Olympics? Did you choose a team sport like basketball or

soccer or would you prefer to go it alone? Cycling or running or canoeing? I think I'd like to be able to run faster than the wind itself and

then I'd never have to wait for a bus or a train ever again and I could visit my friend super fast without polluting the planet.
