| 1:20.4 | Well, Nevada, welcome to the Candid Frame. It's a pleasure and an honor to have you on the show. |

| 1:30.0 | I know you started photography in your late 20s, |
| 1:32.8 | and you started off with a large format camera shooting black and white film. |
| 1:40.8 | And I'm wondering, what do you feel that allowed you to do in terms of your own photographic |
| 1:49.9 | life as opposed to having started off, say, using a 35-millimeter camera? |
| 1:55.6 | Well, you're right. Actually, I fell in love with this wooden Deerdorf camera and partly I think I fell in love |
| 2:02.7 | with the myth of, you know, standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon with this cape over my head. |
| 2:08.0 | And actually, I started with color film large format, which I realized was really over my head, too |
| 2:14.3 | difficult. And so I went down to black and white because i could manage |
| 2:18.4 | a black and white dark room and you know i think in general uh i only worked with the the uh large |
| 2:26.5 | format maybe for about a year because i realized pretty quickly it was a was a bad backpacking |
| 2:31.8 | camera especially the tripods in those days. |
