Smolan and his partner Jennifer Erwitt are also the co-founders of Against All Odds Productions, which specializes in the design and execution of large-scale global projects that combine compelling story-telling with state-of-the-art technology. By pulling together some of the world's best photographers, he has created a series of books that reveal the power of photograph to not only create beauty, but also show the power and importance of the every-day moment. I apologize for the long, long delay in getting another episode up.

I've been busy with a variety of different projects,

and all of which are helping to pay the bills around here.

And so it hasn't really allowed for much time to schedule interviews, conduct interviews, much less to sit in front of the computer and edit an uploaded episode.

Before we get on to our interview, one of the projects I've been working on is an instructional

videotape on lighting and the use of flash.

It was a personal project that I worked along with my team at Alas Media.

And we're really pleased with the results.

And right now we're just in the process of getting marketing revolved around it.
