Summary

Colby Brown is a professional photographer, photo educator and author based out of Denver, Colorado. He specializes in landscape, travel and humanitarian photography. Throughout his work one can see that he combines his love of the natural world with his fascination of the world’s diverse cultures. Each of his photographs tells a story of life on this planet. While specializing in landscape and travel photography, Colby Brown, also does freelance photojournalism and donates his time to many Non Profit organizations while out in the field. He is a citizen of both the US and Canada, a certified PADI Master Diver and Wilderness First Responder. He has worked as a photography instructor for National Geographic Student Expeditions and is currently focusing much of his time and energy on Humanitarian efforts around the globe. Colby’s latest book, Google+ for Photographers, is now available at nearly all major retailers and most independent book stores. One of the things that I really love about photography is the opportunity it provides me to not only make photographs that reveal my world to others, but that allow me to catch glimpses of people and cultures and places that I'll never have the opportunity to explore for myself.

And that's one of the underlying powerful things about photography that often gets lost.

It's easy to get preoccupied with what the latest piece of kit is going to be released soon or

some technique using Photoshop or something along those lines.

And the power of photography lies in its ability in a single photograph to reveal to each

other what our lives are like, how we see the world differently.

And it's one of the things that I love most about photography.

when I have an opportunity to talk to someone who really gets that.

He's a travel photographer, but he's also a humanitarian, and he uses the camera to not

only make beautiful photographs of some incredible landscapes, but he also uses
