Michael Freeman is one such person, and he's a photographer who has enjoyed decades of success as an editorial and commercial photographer as well as a prolific author.

His books which include the photographer's eye and the photographer's vision are books that not only teach you the nuts and bolts about photography,

but also help encourage the way you see, which is the greatest gift any photographer can give another.

I'm sorry that I had, I missed you while you were down here in Los Angeles, but through

the magic of Skype and the internet, we're able to talk finally.

It's a pleasure to be here in the ether somewhere.

I'm in Pennsylvania and you're in L.A.

Yeah, yeah.

What's fascinating is that I've been seeing your name and your images for years

because you're one of the most probably prolific authors on photography out there.

Even if people may not immediately know your name, they more than likely have seen your books

as part of just visiting a local bookstore or camera store.

Talk about how writing has ended up informing

what you do with the camera, because I think it's fairly rare that a photographer has the

ability to write and vice versa. Yes. I mean, I do enjoy writing, and I found myself able to do so.
