Summary

Eli Reed is a photographer who has established a reputation for compassionate and beautiful documentary and photo-journalistic work. Whether he's photographing in a war zone, a Hollywood sound stage or a neighborhood convenience store, he consistently produces imagery that is striking, beautiful and memorable. A member of the of legendary Magnum photographer collective and an Olympus Visionary, he continues to produce important work as well as passing on his experience and knowledge of photography as a professor at the University of Texas at Austin. 0:32.5	When I started this show, I don't think I was really thinking that I'd be around for nearly four years,
0:38.4	much less would have interviewed as many photographers as I have, especially some photographers
0:43.2	who I've admired my entire photographic life.
0:47.2	This show is a labor of love, and the big reason I continue doing it is a very selfish

0:53.8	It keeps me inspired about my own work.
0:56.8	It's so easy to get caught up with the everyday challenges of life and work, and I have to admit I'm guilty about letting those things take away time and energy from this thing I love so much.
1:08.0	But each conversation I have helps bring me back to what matters, my passion and
1:12.9	dedication to raising the camera to my eye and saying something special about the world that I live in.
