So I've noticed this thing recently. I live in Washington, D.C. and every time I get into

an Uber car, the Uber driver happens to be an immigrant from Africa and they are all

conservative. Every last single one of these African immigrants is conservative and they

usually recognize me and they start a conversation with me about black Americans and the conversation

usually ends with them asking what is wrong with black Americans?

How could black Americans possibly view themselves as oppressed?

I often think this as well.

Maybe the problem with black Americans is that we have actually no connection to the

consonant of Africa and at the same time that we are squealing that we've been taken

from our homeland, we have no idea what actually goes on in Africa.

and she's lived in America for a very long time and there is so much for us to delve in
