There is nothing worth living for unless it is worth dying for.

My grandmother lived a life devoted to Jesus, and today her talks have been made available

in their original form.

So you too can be built up through the insights and mysteries God revealed to her throughout

her ministry.

Now without further ado, here is Elizabeth Elliott.

I'd like to talk to you about a peaceful home.

Of course this will be applicable to young parents, to families.

It will also be applicable, I would hope, to all of you singles, and all of you who have

already raised your family, and perhaps you're now a widowed or divorced, and you're

living by yourself, and you don't think this has anything to do with your life.

I hope that you'll see that there is an application which is across the board.

Wherever we live, we can make it a place of peace and refreshment.

Some of you may just live in one room, and you say, oh well I can't entertain there,

and you wouldn't even call it a home.

But if God is there, then it can be a place of refreshment and peace.

And by way of illustration, I think of that dear Canadian mom of mine, mom Cunningham,

I called her, I'll tell you how I met her.

I was a very lonely Bible school student in 1948.

I had finished college and decided to get some Bible training at Prairie Bible Institute

in Alberta, which is way out in a very bleak Prairie.

And I was feeling very much like a fish out of water.
