0:06.8	2022 the call to mastery is getting a brand new name. Now before I share what that new brand is, let me tell you
0:17.8	why my team and I have decided to make this move. Really two reasons. Number
0:22.4	one, a lot of our guests are frankly
0:25.3	uncomfortable calling themselves masters or even on the path to master. We talk a lot
0:31.3	about this on the podcast. One of the keys to mastery is humility
0:35.3	and the brand has at times caused people to decline our invitations to come onto the show.
0:40.9	That's reason number one. Reason number two, your favorite part of each
0:45.4	episode is not when our guests talk about how they've mastered their crafts. We sent a survey out about six months ago to those
0:55.2	of you who are on by launch team and we just asked you point blank what's your
1:00.0	favorite part of the call to mastery? Number one, when our guests talk about how they've
1:03.8	mastered their craft. Number two, when they talk about their daily habits, or number three,
1:08.9	the conversations we have about how the gospel shapes the work of our guests. And an overwhelming number of you,
1:18.3	70% said your favorite part of this show was our guests talking about how their faith influenced
1:25.5	their work.
1:26.5	And then I asked if we focused the show only on those conversations, would you listen to more or less episodes?
1:35.0	95% of you said more.
1:40.0	So all of that is why, beginning June 15th, the call to mastery will be renamed the
1:47.8	Mere Christians Podcast.
1:52.3	Obviously a play and a nod to see us Lewis's great work mere Christianity,
1:58.8	but the idea is this. The part of this podcast you all loved most is unpacking how the gospel influences the work of mere Christians.
