Welcome to the Jesus Image Podcast.

This morning I am so immensely grateful for the opportunity to worship with you

and to sense the glorious presence of our Lord in our midst.

I am so grateful to know Pastor Michael and Jessica and Theo and Benny and Sophia who so beautifully embody the presence of the Lord and obedience unto him.

This whole week I wrestled with what the Lord asked me to speak on this morning.

And hopefully this morning I'm going to model obedience to you.

It is amazing how long we love and how long it takes to learn to surrender fully to him.

And so this morning my deepest desire is that I would become less and that he would become more.

And that you would hear the divine whisper of the Holy Spirit in our midst this morning.

So before we go to the Word, I wonder if you would join me in prayer.

Before we do that, let me remind you that worship has not ended.

One of the highest ways that we worship God is by receiving His Word.

The prophet Isaiah said that God said on this one he would look.

He who has got a tender and broken heart before God and who trembles had His word.

In the early church, when the Gospels were rare, people would stand.

There was a reverence and a holiness for God's word.

And my deepest desire for my life and for you is that

we would regain the extraordinary knowledge of who is speaking and the holiness and the eternal

nature of His Word.

The scripture says that He has lifted up His Word, even above His name.

And His name is the greatest.

That His word is clean and pure and holy and undiluted and transforms our lives.
