Summary

Join bestselling author Jon Ronson as he traces an intriguing butterfly effect. Many years ago, a teenager in Brussels had an idea – make porn free and easy to stream online. The consequences of that idea are surprising, delightful, and sad. They reach into areas of life no one could have expected. In this series’ first episode, meet Fabian Thylmann – that teen from Brussels.

glance at a woman. Nobody was supposed to notice the glance, but by chance I did. It happened

a lot of them were concerned about the same very specific thing, a man called Fabian.

1:41.9

The series is about what happened because of Fabian.

1:47.6

Should we start? Sure. Fabian, maybe the first thing you should do is just introduce yourself.

1:53.6

Just tell me your name. I'm Fabian, tell me one. Yes, how much do you want to know?

2:00.6

That's good for now. I will eat more out during the questioning process.

The series tells the story of a butterfly effect. Back when Fabian was a teenager in Brussels

2:22.1

in the 1990s, he had an idea. Because of that idea, some people in Montreal eventually started to

2:29.1

behave differently. As a consequence, other people down in the San Fernando Valley started behaving

2:36.5

differently and so on. For a year, I've been tracing Fabian's butterfly effect.
