True, but then they were hunted for their pelts, their meat, and their scent sacks.

Oh yes, beaver perfume very sought after until the beaver was no more.

But now, Britain brings back beavers. Why, tell us in light and BBC gentlemen?

Because beavers of course build dams across rivers.

And with all the flooding they've been experiencing in Britain,

well let's get these little dam builders pitching in.

Did you know study show that beaver dams improve water quality,

also other wildlife species thrive thanks to the work of beavers?

Sure, some Scottish farmers hate the beavers and have been shooting the beavers,

but you know, what don't Scottish farmers hate?
