I was in the small town that I grew up in driving and I just simply remember putting my hand out the window playing with the air and thinking

I don't want to die anymore. I want to actually live and I remember that was actually a little bit scary for me because it had been so long that I had really just not cared if I lived or died that having something to lose for the first time and a long time

was a totally new feeling and I actually wanted to keep my life and that was kind of scary.
