It's the beginning of NHL free agency, and that's where we will begin.

The Bruins are active-ish.

Yeah, I don't know that I would say productive. I would say active. Okay. You're looking for an adjective. Actives okay, I guess. All right. Well, what adjective would you use for the Boston Bruins so far in NHL free agency? Failing, miserably, sucking? Like, I don't know how you don't get agitated when they just basically have the same roster back. So it feels like they're whiffing on every guy on D. It feels like their D-Corps is getting worse, not better. I think, honestly, I think it's like worst-case scenario. I think that that's what has happened here with the Bruins in this postseason or this offseason. Worst case scenario?

Yeah, I do. Oh, I disagree. Yep, they lost Lowe's on. They didn't get any of their primary guys on the free agent market. They haven't made a trade for what I would call a top four defenseman. I think that they've been, when I say worst case scenario, I mean, they were going to do something, Mike. The question is how far down their order of priority or preference was that going to be? I think they basically got to the bottom. I think they get to the bottom of that list, and that's when they re-signed Mike Riley and Norbert, or whatever his name is. Forebird. Okay, whatever. Like, you know, these guys that they're signing now, I think, are guys that they were playing D, F, G, Q, R. Like, go, go wherever you want. I think it's way down there. You're being overdramatic. Worst case scenario is if they lost Taylor Hall and he went to Toronto. If they didn't bring someone back like Mike Riley. yeah, would I like to have seen them sign a bigger name defenseman?

And I don't say it's wrong to overstate. Fine, overstate. It's just overstated. Worst case is no Taylor Hall. And oh, by the way, I don't mind Mike Riley. He just doesn't, you know, he just doesn't. He faded in the postseason, so you feel a little different about it. That's at least how I feel. And I think most people rightfully should feel about him. He was really good when they got him at the trade deadline, and then I thought it was mostly a nothing in the postseason. Regular season player. Well, we don't know that. You have no idea because he flamed out in one postseason. Don't be Murray overreacts to one week, one game. I hate their postseason. You can't do a final analysis on a player of that age who's had no substantive playoff experience. We have a talk show to do today. And I was right about Garapolome. Agreed. I hate their off seasons if I hate it. I'm not saying, don't say it. I'm just saying I think it's a wrong. We let's run it back with the Bruins and be out in the second round against Tampa. That's Don Swinney's great marketing pitch. I think it's freaking stupid. I'm not telling you not to say it, but it's stupid to look at one young defenseman's one playoff run and say he can't play. Like that's just dumb. But you can do it. Please, by all means, do it. Maz was right after three games about Sony and Michelle. I know it's crossing sports, but it's an example. It's just wrong. It's just wrong to do that. Mike Riley's fine. And I, you know, there's things to like about Mike Riley. He doesn't fit what they need, okay?

And I didn't need that playoff series to see it.
