Chapter 11 begins a new section of the book,

not a whole new division,

but it's a new message.

And Jeremiah is divided into many messages that the Lord gave to him.

With chapter 10, we concluded the message of the Lord to Jeremiah that he was to give at the temple gate.

Now he is to give a message to the people concerning their broken covenant with God.

Now you remember when God brought the children of Israel into

the land it was on a conditional basis. It was conditioned upon their obedience to God and to His Commandments.
