I want to talk about getting rid of people off the British pound.

Now, I have an American example of the same thing happening here as well, but this one caught my

attention. Headline, Wildlife, to feature on next series of Bank of England banknotes. For more than 50

years, the bank has proudly showcased many inspirational

historical figures who have helped shape the national thought, innovation, leadership,

and values of its banknote. The change to wildlife imagery supported by the public consultation

and feedback provides an opportunity to celebrate another important aspect of the United Kingdom.

So they had six different criteria

for picking the theme of who they wanted to put on their dollar bills, their pound banknotes.

And one of the criteria was, is not divisive. The theme should not involve imagery that would

reasonably be offensive to or exclude any groups.

So if you put Winston Churchill on the five pound banknote, as they have now, that's offensive

to some.

It's offensive.

It excludes people who don't associate with Winston Churchill.

Muslims, to be, let's just be frank.

Muslims and Pakistanis.

The current people who are on there, the banknotes other than the king and queen,

former queen, are Winston Churchill, author Jane Austen, Austin, painter, JMW. Turner,

my son's favorite, and the mathematician code

breaker of World War II, Alan Turing. It's a solid group of four. Now, we have similar examples
