Picture this.

Sitting before you is a glass.

The glass has water inside.

The water reaches the half-way mark.

So, would you describe the glass as half-empty or half-full?

If we say the glass is half-empty, we're thought to be more pessimistic.

We focus on the negative side of things.

But if we say the glass is half-full, we're thought to be more optimistic.

We focus on the positive.

We're about to meet a character who's always looking at the bright side, even when things

get very dark, indeed.
