In part one, you met the four main people in this story. First, there was Brendan Banfield,

the husband of Christine Banfield. Brendan worked in law enforcement for the IRS. Then Brendan's

wife, Christine. Christine Banfield was a beloved pediatric nurse. The couple had been together for two decades.

To care for their daughter, Valerie, the Banfields hired Juliana Perez Magaliyas, the 20-something

a pair from Brazil. And as you heard in part one, Brendan and Juliana started having an affair.

The fourth person is Joe Ryan, who ended up

dead one winter morning in the Banfield's bedroom. Depending on who you believed, Joe was an

innocent murder victim who was framed for Christine's murder. Or Joe was Christine's secret lover

and her killer. More on that theory later.

Both Christine and Joe were fatally wounded in the Banfield's bedroom. Christine was stabbed

seven times. Joe was shot twice. According to Juliana's testimony, Brendan Banfield was the mastermind of a catfishing scheme that was a set up for murder.

Juliana claimed Brendan set up an account on a fetish website and lured Joe Ryan into their home,

under the guise that he could have sex with Christine that included a role play of rape.

Then Brendan came home and shot Joe and then stabbed his own wife to death.

In today's episode, Brendan insists he is innocent and takes the stand in his own defense.
