Summary

Strange Matters is back! In our return episode the mysterious disappearance case of Yuba City is discussed, one of the strangest group vanishings in modern history.
On a cold winter night in 1978, a group of five men known by their families as “The Boys” left a basketball game and presumably traveled back home. Instead, for reasons unknown, they inexplicably drove into the mountains and would seemingly vanish into the snowy wilderness of the Sierra Nevada. When the five friends remained missing, their concerned families alerted the police. At this point law enforcement would launch an investigation that would provide more questions than answers, as everyone involved was left clueless the closer they got to solving this strange disappearance.

0:04.8	welcome back all of our listeners to the podcast. I know it's been a long wait.
0:08.6	Before we get into the episode I did want to take just a few minutes to give
0:12.4	everyone an update on the show.
0:15.0	First off, I do want to apologize for the long break in the podcast.
0:18.0	It did end up being far longer than originally expected.
0:22.0	Both Eric and I had a lot going on in our lives that made it difficult keeping up with
0:26.1	strange matters on a regular schedule, so we originally plan to just take a few months off
0:31.0	for the winter before coming back. However, as things tend to go in life,
0:35.0	that plan didn't quite work out as we continue to have different situations that were coming up that
0:39.7	forced us to keep pushing back the return on the podcast.
0:43.6	Now Eric still has some commitments over the summer,
0:45.6	so I'll be holding down the fort here for a few months,
0:48.4	though I will be getting some help from time to time.
0:51.1	So with that update, I'm excited on my half of Strange Matters of bringing the show back and
0:55.2	returning to bring some new content to all of our listeners around the world.
