Alright, well if you've got a Bible, go to the Gospel of Luke and as we are preparing

for the holiday season, it's amazing. The whole world is leaning in to the birthday

party for one person. You think of all the people that have lived in the history of the

world. Whose birthday would be the most celebrated? Well, it's the birthday of the Lord Jesus

Christ. And this is so significant in history actually hinges around his entrance into history.

That's why our calendar is BC before Christ, AD, and Odomini, the year of our Lord, that

everything literally transitions with the birth of this man, Jesus Christ. And it's curious

because he never traveled more than a few hundred miles from his home. He never married.

He never had children. He never held a political office. He was not a man of affluence and

of great financial prosperity. He was in fact born in a rural town to teenage peasant parents.

He would have grown up in a home that was about the size of one of our parking stalls where

we put a car. And he lived a very simple, humble life. But in his wake, more people know

about him. More songs have been written regarding him. More paintings painted of him and more

books written concerning him than anyone who has lived in the history of the world.

And so when it comes to the person in the work of Jesus, the question for us is, who is the
