as we pick up in Job Chapter 1 verse 1.

And now with today's message, here's Pastor Chuck.

Shall we turn to the book of Job chapter one.

As we come to the book of Job,

we actually enter into a new section of the Old Testament.

As you know, the Old Testament is divided into different divisions.

The first five books comprising what is often called the Penituke, the books of the law.

The next several books are historic as they deal with the history of the nation of Israel from the time that they have come out of Egypt and they begin as a nation

in the land.

And it covers that period of history

while they are in the land of Israel
